With the support of HSBC Community Partnership Programme, our organization has launched Hong Kong’s first e-learning platform featuring the themes of healthy living and safe medication use. The platform includes four online games with different learning objectives, allowing players to learn in a fun and engaging way.
The games focus on safe use of over-the-counter drugs for upper respiratory infections, avoiding drug traps and understanding Hong Kong’s Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, as well as stress reduction. The contents are in line with the goal of “healthy personal development” in “Personal, Social & Humanities Education”, and is particularly suitable for upper primary and lower secondary school students. After completing related tasks, players not only acquire correct knowledge, but also receive commendation certificates to acknowledge their performance based on their achievements. The game content is available in both Chinese and English versions and can be played on desktop computers, tablets, and mobile phones with different operating systems.
The e-learning platform also features an “Exhibition Hall”, which is now open for student participation. Students can log in to the system and download “Drug Use Master” coloring and slogan design drafts. After completing the work in cooperation with parents, players can upload it to the platform and receive an “Art Master” certificate.Selected works will be displayed on the virtual Exhibition Hall to promote safe medication and anti-drug messages to the online community. The first 100 participants who submit their works will receive a book voucher as an encouragement.
