Appointment of Mr. Ng Ka Shun David as the Executive Director

On behalf of the Executive Committee of Community Drug Advisory Council (CDAC), I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Ng Ka Shun David as the Executive Director, effective from 22nd December 2023.

Mr. Ng is a seasoned social worker with nearly 20 years of experience in social services related to substance addiction and community care. He possesses extensive frontline experience in drug treatment, rehabilitation services, and AIDS prevention education, specifically targeting ethnically diverse drug abusers. He has demonstrated effective supervisory skills in ex-offenders’ rehabilitation, smoking cessation, and community healthcare services. He has rich experience in policy research for the government, universities, and think tanks. He was the writer of the Primary Healthcare Blueprint and the sole Researcher in the Health Bureau before joining CDAC.

With his solid experience in service practice and expertise in research, advocacy, and social service management, I believe that he will lead CDAC to a new chapter in service development.
